Star Light, Star Bright
"The stars speak of man's insignificance in the long eternity of time."
- Edwin Way Teale
When we glimpse a starry sky, most of us just gaze in wonder at the sight. We do this because it is truly beautiful, but the sight also tends to remind us of the vastness of the universe. We feel very small at these times, but this is oddly reassuring and refreshing. The spectacular view frees our minds from our day-to-day troubles; as we see how small we are, we see how our troubles are even smaller in the grand scheme of things.
IF ANYTHING STARTS TO BRING MY DOWN TODAY, I WILL REFLECT ON WHETHER OR NOT IT IS A SIGNIFICANT PROBLEM. MOST IRRITANTS REALLY ARE SMALL PROBLEMS IF WE TAKE A STEP A BACK.
