Simple Pleasures
"Teach us delight in simple things."
- Rudyard Kipling
It's the complicated things in life that make us spin out of control, lose our ability to think clearly, and snap at our loved ones. The complicated things include work, household responsibilities, social commitments, and leisure activities. We must remember that our basic needs are simple, and life is full of simple pleasures: a few minutes to marvel at a blue sky; a quiet afternoon at the library; the enjoyment of a porch swing on a crisp autumn morning. Simple things bring significant delight to our lives.
TODAY I WILL ENJOY SIMPLE PLEASURES. PERHAPS I WILL STOP BY A SENIOR LIVING FACILITY AND PLAY CARDS WITH SOME OF THE RESIDENTS.
