Friendship Sparklers
"At times, our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person."
- Albert Schweitzer
Once my children were grown, I decided I didn't like cooking anymore. I worked out a nice arrangement with my friend Jack, who lives just 57 steps from my condo. He agreed to cook once or twice a week if I cooked once or Twice a week; the other days we would fend for ourselves, eat leftovers together, or go out to eat. Then I met Surinder, a delightful woman who teaches cooking classes in her home. The classes were magical, and food was so delicious, it rekindled my interest in following recipes and making my own magic in the kitchen. Surinder was the spark I needed to try new flavors, tastes, and textures. Life is delicious once again.
TODAY I WILL ALLOW SOMEONE TO BE A SPARK FOR ME, OR I WILL ENDEAVOR TO BE A SPARK FOR ANOTHER.
