Pleasing All the People
"I don't know the key to success, but the key to
failure is trying to please everybody."
-Bill Cosby
We all have different opinions and ideas, and that is what keeps the world so interesting. Trying to be a people-pleaser is a no-win situation. First of all, in doing so, we find ourselves rolled so thin it becomes difficult to hold ourselves together. Also, if it becomes clear to others that we are only aiming to please, people lose respect for us because there is nothing definitive about us that sets us apart from everyone else. We need to get used to the fact that sometimes, other people are not going to be happy with us. We must do what we think is right and not worry so much about what others think.
TODAY IF I DISPLEASE SOMEONE, I WILL STOP AND CONSIDER WHAT OCCURRED. IF I FEEL CERTAIN I DID NOTHING WRONG, I WILL SIMPLY LET IT GO.
