Building Wings
"The man who has no imagination has no wings."
- Muhammad Ali
When I was a child, my dad helped me build a kite that was more than six feet wide at the crossbow. It was more than six feet wide at the crossbow. It was magnificent. We bought turquoise and white material and stapled it to the frame. We made a tail from an old bed-sheet. I fully expected the kite to sail to the moon, but we could barely get it off the ground. We figured out that the weight of the kite would require a monumental tail, one so long we'd never be able to launch it . But I didn't care-the making of that kite propelled the wings of my imagination nonetheless.
TODAY I WILL GIVE MY IMAGINATION A WORKOUT. MAYBE I WILL VISIT A NEW MUSEUM, START A PAINTING, OR BEGIN DRAFTING A SCREENPLAY.
