Life Improves with Age
"I feel like an ostrich who has finally pulled its
head out of the sand and loves what it sees...
I love getting older, things get easier every day."
Jane Powell
When I hit 30, I didn't like it. I had three kids under four years of age, I never had a moment to myself, and I was on the verge of divorce. In my 40s I was in a new, healthy relationship; I made just enough money to pay my bills; and I began to travel the world. My 50s were also great- more traveling and more freedom in my career. Then came 60s- the best ever. I'd just moved to Florida thaw out, and I had found my soul mate. I've learned that getting older means getting to do exactly what I want, when I want to do it . Life for seniors nowadays is positively delicious; I wouldn't want to go back and start over for anything.
I WILL MAKE THE MOST OF TODAY. I WILL BIKE MY USUAL TEN MILES, THEN WANDER OVER TO THE ART MUSEUM. MAYBE I WILL TALK ONE OF MY FRIENDS INTO TAKING A PAINTING CLASS OR PLANNING A TRIP WITH ME.
