When you look at the world around you, what needs fixing? Is our government overspending, pushing our children and grandchildren deeper into debt? Research candidates for political office, and make sure they are using tax revenue as efficiently as possible. Are our parks and cultural institutions being kept up? Volunteer at one of them. Pick up trash at the park or join a committee at the local museum or nature center. Did you know that the average American will have created 52 tons of garbage by age 75 and that each of us goes through nearly 5,000 gallons of fresh water a month? Yikes! Make changes now, and it will improve life for present generations and future ones.
TODAY I MAKE A POSITIVE CHANGE TO HELP MY CURRENT WORLD AND THE WORLD OF THE FUTURE. WHEN I GO TO THE GROCERY STORE, I WILL BUY A FEW REUSABLE BAGS TO HOLD MY GROCERIES. I WILL KEEP THEM IN MY TRUNK SO I CAN USE THEM ON THE NEXT TRIP AS WELL. GOOD-BYE, FLIMSY PLASTIC GROCERY BAGS!
